This is almost perfect, but I think it might need the proper mime type so email clients can properly identify attachments in messages. For example, try sending a message from Mail to someone who logs into Gmail.com. Typically, there is a paperclip icon next to the message to easily a identify and provides the ability to filter messages with attachments. The same is true for Airmail v2 and probably other email clients. See screenshot https://cloudup.com/cyBP3aZMURW
Hi, how do I know the plugin is active (successfully loaded)? Is there a new toolbar icon or any other symtom? I wrote defaults write com.apple.mail DisableInlineAttachmentViewing -bool yes so the images show as icons in the composing window (on my Mac). How can I be sure they will be displayed correctly by bloody Outlook? Thank you!
Thanks for this! Very neat. It does seem to be working for me, so far.
However, I've noticed that on Gmail none of the messages sent with this are displaying an attachment icon (paperclip). The attachments are working fine otherwise, but it is a bit odd not to have that indication on the emails.

Do we know whether the plugin works happily on 10.10.3? Or should I wait for an update, before attempting to install it?

Thank you for this - works like a dream!
The only problem is that now my email signature (which has an image) now doesn't come out properly as the image is sent as an attachment!!
Is there any way around this? or is it literally all (including email signatures) or nothing?
Thanks!

What do you think could be causing this?

@AnthonyMcCarthy Thanks! I'll definitely support OS X updates 'cos I wanna keep 'em attached :P I also use Mail app and want this to work.
@Cheryl The issue you describe is not addressed with this plugin, however I'll try to implement "force icon view" for Mail attachment auto preview.
@Sarel Thanks :) Unfortunately no. I'll try to implement some anti-annoying-auto-preview solution :)
@Rachel @Taky1974 @Tim and others THANKS a bunch, I'm glad this is helping you!
