OS X El Capitan Mail - Disable inline attachments

So, we got ourselves an update. Download from plugin page.

The anti inline plugin now has a preference pane, update notification and other additions such as:

Legacy mode

When this is turned on the plugin operates the way it used to when it was free. In short, everything turns to attachments, no support to leave signatures inlined.

Display signatures inlined

When composing you see your signature images inlined and not as icons. Regardless of this setting your recipients get signatures inlined.

Multiple signature images

You can now have multiple images in your signature, for example icons for facebook, twitter, web, etc. All you have to do is rename images you use in signatures to contain "email-signature" text. Some examples:

  • my-email-signature.png
  • email-signature-fb.png
  • email-signature-business.jpg
  • office-email-siganture.jpg

Situation with disappearing attachments that occured in some cases is resolved.

On what will the development focus be next, you ask?

Single task: disabling Mail app auto preview feature / when we receive attachments (or browse our sent email) we don't want them to auto preview.

So stay tuned! And thank you all for awesome support and feedback!

Great stuff, update has fixed the disappearing attaments in iOS. Regarding the future fix for auto preview, can you confirm this will be optional as I actaully like having auto preview in sent items so I can quickly double check what I've sent.

    Very nice!
I wonder why Apple doesn't include this modification in the code. I had been struggling for years now.
    Thanks !!

    Thanks Clive..

This Mail problem has actually stopped me using Mail. Whilst I think mail is a great app, due to its reliability and simplicity attachments were just a mess..

Easy to use app you have written for some one like me a total ungeek!

Just updated from El Capitan 10.11.3 to 10.11.4 and new Mac Mail 9.4 has disabled this plugin from working. Will there be an update as I have only just purchased this last month and it's a great tool?

Clive > The plugin already supports El Capitan 10.11.4, please go to http://clivegaleni.com/os-x-mail-anti-inline-plugin/ and download the latest version. Thanks!

    Thanks so much!
It's a genius and simple decision for the most stupid thing of Apple Mail app...
